Fstoppers likes to show behind-the-scenes on how professionals shoot. This was to prove that it doesn’t matter what kind of camera equipment you have, you can still get a good shot. View more info and the high res images here.

So before I say anything else let me start by saying; I created this video to simply show that you should not be limited by your camera. Obviously there was a lot that went into this shoot including a professional model, hair and makeup, a studio, lighting, and a retoucher. We may create another video in the future where we shoot with only natural light but this video is simply about the camera. There are so many photographers who are obsessed with noise, sharpness, color, dynamic range, megapixels, chromatic aberration, moire, distortion, etc. So many photographers get wrapped up in the technical side that they forget how to take compelling images. This video is for them. (via)

To celebrate the grand opening ofOpening Ceremony’s new Ace Shop, Gia Coppola (grandaughter to Francis, niece of Sophia, cousin to Jason Schwartzman) & Tracy Antonopoulos were asked to put
together a short film.
The film stars Kirsten Dunst and Jason Schwartzman, with music by Jason’s band, Coconut Records.

Kirsten and Jason, who are decked out in recent arrivals from O.C.’s S/S2010 collection, share a sweet and playful chemistry, very artfully captured by Gia and Tracy on this nostalgia-inducing, vintage-feeling montage. “We were influenced by 60s New Wave films and my uncle’s house,” said Gia. Jason lends both acting and musical talents for the short film, which features the song “Is Sound OK?” from the Davy, the most recent release from his musical project Coconut Records. Expect more from these two talented directors in the next year: Gia recently graduated from Bard College, while Tracy is finishing up at NYU’s Gallatin School.
**UPDATE (1/2/2009) Thanks to Martin Aamand, I have more info on Andtie.
The cost for one of these scarves is €89 (~$130) including shipping worldwide (They are located in Denmark). All of them are limited editions and to see what is all available go here. Andtie is working on setting up an online payment option, but right now are only taking bank transfers (I’m guessing paypal might be accepted).

Started by three college buddies Drew Deters, Jay Hartington, and Joe Anto, the watch fits the lifestyle of those who prefer the active outdoors as well as seasoned Manhattanites. For vendors wishing to carry them, they will also donate a number of watches to that retailer’s charity of choice. As Jay says, “With our watch, checking the time becomes a reminder to lighten up, have some fun, and focus on what’s truly important.” And did we mention they’re only $20 each? We’ll take two, please! — via refinery 29
