(who might have to change their name) during the whole process.
48HR is the magazine that took submissions by crowdsourcing the internet to create a magazine in 48 hours.

Brian McMullen of McSweeney’s is putting together a book of self-portrait doodles by
people who are in literary, film, comedy and more.
McMullen got the idea from Burt Britton’s “Self-portrait”, which was a collection of self portraits from the 1970′s featuring over 500 writers of the time. Honestly I had to look up some of these names on this list, but the self-portraits are really neat. See them all here.
When I met the author Jonathan Ames in his office at Indiana University in late 2000, the only objects on his desk were a telephone and a stack of portrait doodles — some of them self-portraits…
– I asked about the doodles. Did he think of himself an artist? Not really. He compared the doodles to boogers. It can be fun to extract and admire a good one, he said (I paraphrase), before discarding it. (via)

Indie Game: The Movie is a documentary about video games and is also
another Kickstarter project that I decided to back.
They are releasing teasers of the movie, first being Edmund McMillen discussing his childhood and how he uses his experiences to create his games. It’s shot beautifully and Edmund has a pretty neat story. You can back the movie on Kickstarter here.
Indie Game: The Movie is a feature documentary about video games, their creators and the craft. It examines independent game developers as a way to understand the medium and the theory behind video games. Throughout, the film focuses on the human side of the creative process, and the connections between game and game-maker.
Indie Game: The Movie will be released Spring 2011.

The New York Public Library called upon Improv Everywhere to stage a mission
to remind people how awesome the library is, who was facing budget cuts.
Improv Everywhere decided the mission would be have to be Ghostbusters themed.
It all took place in the Rose Main Reading Room. Watch below.
