Early Apple Tablet

The “Bashful” was released alongside the Apple II computer.
It was named after one of the dwarfs in Snow White as a reference to the Snow White design language (created by Hartmut Esslinger).

Concepts for this early pre-touch tablet included one with an attached keyboard and one with a floppy disk drive and convenient handle for maximum portability. An attached stylus helped the user interact with the screen. One frog/Apple tablet concept also included an attached phone.

Download Goudy Bookletter 1911 (font) For Free

Goudy Bookletter 1911 is made by Barry Schwartz and based on
Frederic Goudy’s font, Kennerley Oldstyle.

Download here.

Designer Barry Schwartz on this font:

In making this font, I discovered that Kennerley fits together tightly and evenly with almost no kerning. Thus the following words from Monotype specimen books are just: “[W]hen composed into words the characters appear to lock into one another with a closeness common in early types, but not so often seen in later-day creations.” These are letters that take command of the space around them; notice, for instance, the bowed shapes of the v and w.
