The Goode Family: an animated series from Mike Judge
I never heard anything about this, but apparently it ran from May 27, 2009 to August 7, 2009. It was canceled, like most successful cartoons, but there are rumors of its return to another network.
(via wikipedia) The Goode family struggles with modern social and environmental responsibilities being liberals, and the paradoxes that arise for a working-class family when trying to be politically correct all of the time about everything.
Show’s preview
The characters include:
• Gerald Goode (dad, voiced by Mike Judge and kinda resembles Peggy from KOTH) is a cycling uniform wearing, super educated liberal.
• Helen Goode (mom, voiced by Nancy Carell) an eco-conscious activist who’s also socially conscious of her status in the town.
• The Goodes’ adopted son, Ubuntu (voiced by David Herman), who’s from South Africa. He was adopted to promote racial tolerance, but they ended up with a white South African baby instead of the black infant they wanted.
• The Goodes’ biological daughter, Bliss (voiced by Linda Cardellini), who challenges her parents thinly veiled politcial views with her more informed opinions.
• The family dog, Che (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker), named after Che Guevara and forced into being a vegan. Which apparently results in many missing neighborhood pets & random animals.
