Fancy Art for my wall

I just bought this print from photographer, Fiona, aka WalkingToJericho
I absolutely love the mix of b/w prints with the hand coloring of type and patterns.

(I blame Design Crush for my impulse buy ;) )

Floppy Disk CD Packaging

———————————————————————————————————————————
Floppy Disk CD Packaging by designer Adam Faja
Faja packaged a pink CD (to resemble the tape) in a black floppy disk case and printed the tracklist in a typewriter font on lined card. I didn’t realize a CD could fit so perfectly in there, one of those “Why didn’t I think of that!”

Secretary of the Arts

———————————————————————————————————————————
Secretary of the Arts
Signed. I wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for the arts. I wouldn’t be interesting if it wasn’t for the arts. I am smart because of art.
Reblogging from OnePlusInfinity, please do it too.

Quincy Jones has started a petition to ask President-Elect Obama to appoint a Secretary of the Arts. While many other countries have had Ministers of Art or Culture for centuries, the United States has never created such a position. We in the arts need this and the country needs the arts–now more than ever. Please take a moment to sign this important petition and then pass it on to your friends and colleagues via your e-lists. The joy oftoday’s inauguration has served as an inspiration to us all, and the arts have played a prominent role. Let us build on this strength!
