Dr. Sketchy’s has been brought to Dallas, The first event will be held
Saturday Oct. 4th at City Tavern.
The Original Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School was started in New York by artist Molly Crabapple and has spread to a bunch of cities. “Dr. Sketchy’s is what happens when cabaret meets art school.” Crabapple wanted to make figure drawing sexy. For those who don’t know, the models you typically get in figure drawing vary on different kinds of scary looking people you really don’t want to see naked in the first place. Dr. Sketchy’s is basically your traditional figure drawing class, but held at a bar and your models are a range of burlesque dancers, roller derby girls and other interesting and beautiful looking models. My Kitten buddy, Elena aka Ginger Valentine, is going to be the very first model. Let me just say this girl is flexible and give good face.
